Nepal, Asia

Over 500 pastors gathered in Dharan, Nepal for leadership training. Many traveled for several days from as far as Shikim and Bhutan. They sat unflinchingly for five days inside and outside the church building, straining to hear every word. At the end of their week of training, we were privileged to present all of them with a first, recently published, New Testament Commentary in the Nepalieze language.

Many thousands gathered for Dharan, Nepal's first ever evangelistic crusade. What a blessing to be able to partner with other ministries to see the good news of Jesus Christ preached to thousands in attendance. This event was sponsored by World Impact Network, Coastal Victory Church, and Tony Greco Ministries.

Letters from Nepal

Greetings in the precious name of the Lord Jesus. I am Dhan Raj Gurung. I am 23 years old. I was newly introduced with Christ on July 15, 1994 at the capital city of Thimphu, Bhutan. I was introduced with you in Dharan at the conference for pastors and leaders in 1998. I heartily want to thank you for coming to Asia and building up the co-workers and body of Christ. I was really impressed with the teachings you gave in Dharan. Though I am new and young, I have a heart to serve Jesus. I am not a pastor or leader, but just want to learn from you. Thank you for sharing your notes - "Spiritual Gifts, meeting needs around the world". I too want to serve the Almighty as you are doing. I am in prayer to know his specific call and place to serve.

Yours Very Sincerely, Dhan Raj

Good morning in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I hope God has blessed you and kept you well. Here, I am also fine by the grace of our Lord.

I was very pleased to meet you at the Dharan conference. That was my first time attending such a large conference. All of us received a great blessing at that time. By seeing the healing program in Dharan, many persons became believers. You know very well that most of the people of this country are idolaters. They don't know why Jesus Christ came into this world.

Actually, I am not a citizen of Nepal. I am from Bhutan. Due to the agitation, we had to leave our beloved motherland. I am very happy to become a refuge because I got a chance to become a son of God. Now I am working in a private school to fulfill our necessity. I have a mother and two brothers. All of us are believers.

Lastly, my warm regards to your whole family.
Your Brother, Prakash Lohani
