Gifts that Bless Children A Gift of Hope for Ambros... Ambros is an orphan as a result of his parents being killed by the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA). The LRA also destroyed the village and burned down their home, causing them to flee to the refugee camp for safety. He has been under the care of his uncle in the refugee camp. Ambros has had a hard life at the refugee camp and he sometimes doesn’t have any food to eat or clothes to wear (he actually borrowed some clothes so he could be photographed). His guardian is not able to properly support Ambros, nor send him to school. A Gift of Hope for Ree... Ree is an orphan as a result of his parents dying from the Aids virus. He was left under the care of his older brother in his village. However, the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) destroyed their village, so they fled to the refugee camp for safety. Ree has had a hard life at the refugee camp as the living conditions are very poor and they sometimes don't have any food to eat. They mostly dig on peoples’ farms to obtain the little food that they do get. The government is no longer able to supply food to the refugee camps. His brother is not able to properly care for Ree and he has not been able to attend school since his parents died. Gloria was found living at the refugee camp, surrounded by rough conditions and hardly any food to eat. Gloria’s guardian is not able to properly care for her and she is not able to go to school. For $30 a month, you can make a difference in a child’s life. With your support, Gloria will have a better opportunity at life, which includes a good education. China - “A Country of Paradoxes” Set high up in remote Chinese villages live women and children devoid of any understanding of the God ordained family unit. This matriarchal society live only with children. Men are invited only at night and must leave before dawn. Local Gifts that Brighten the Future Youth: Eastside Activities Ken lives alone with his mom and two sisters. It has been years since Ken’s mom has been able to work. Welfare often runs out and he would never have the opportunity to experience sports, games or cultural events like the Pacific Science Center were it not for YWAP.
